WTPs treat raw water drawn from major lakes, rivers and wells which are situated in close proximity, for use in the Economic Development Zones or for domestic consumption.

WRPs are located next to WWTPs and recycle treated wastewater discharged from WWTPs, for onward sale and distribution to industrial and residential consumers.

WWTPs treat wastewater collected from surrounding industrial and/or residential areas before discharging it into rivers or routed to WRPs for recycling.
